Tianpingshan Scenic Area is located in the southwest of Suzhou Ancient City, on the bank of Taihu Lake. It is the core scenic spot of Taihu National Scenic Area. It has the reputation of “the first mountain in Wuzhong” and “the victory of Jiangnan” and is one of the four scenic spots in China.
Tianping Mountain is 201 meters above sea level. The mountain is steep and dangerous. It is called Baiyun Mountain in ancient times. It is also known as the Mountain. It is the place where the ancestors of the Northern Song Dynasty, Fan Zhongyan, were buried. The scenic area covers an area of nearly one hundred hectares and is known as the “Red Maple, Kistler, and Qingquan”. There are eighteen scenic spots such as Wanshao Chaotian, Gaoyi Pinnacle, Wanzhang Hongxia and Yuquan Lightweight.
